A really small Bio
I am a physicist with a strong research interest in the
computational aspects of the field. I hold a joint position at
the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (TJNAF, but known affectionately as J-Lab)
and Christopher Newport University
where I am an Associate Professor in the department of
Physics, Computer Science and Engineering.
Professional Interests
I am a member of the CLAS Collaboration. The
CLAS collaboration is responsible for the design and construction of the software and equipment
used in Hall B at TJNAF. My primary physics interests are in the structure of the nucleon and
the modification of the properties of vector mesons inside the nucleus.
I am a member of the CLAS software group and have worked on the following projects:
- ced, the cLAS eVENT dISPLAY
- Compression (demultiplexing) of drift chamber data
- Noise reduction in drift chamber data
- Data acquisition
- Scientific plotting
- Beam optics for a polarized source
- Realtime accelerator displays via cdev
Currently I am involved with the CLAS12 upgrade as a member of the CLAS12 Software Group. I am helping to develop a web-services approach for the CLAS-12 software. In addition, I am working on the CLAS12 single event display, which will be a service consumer and provider, and will be based on the bCNU (be seein' you) graphics package.
The bCNU documentation.
