ESnet Coordinating Committee
The ESnet Coordinating Committee (ESCC) coordinates both the participation of, and information dissemination to, the individual institutions that benefit from the use of ESnet's resources. The ESCC includes representatives from each of the major ESnet "backbone" sites and other DOE-funded activities. With several active working groups and task forces, the ESCC serves as:
- An advisory body to the ESSC, providing a forum for the consideration of
a broad range of technical networking issues
- An advisory body to the ESSC on collaboratory and distributed computing
issues and activities
- A forum for information interchange about ESnet-wide activities and
plans, and site-specific requirements and plans
- A forum for interactions with the ESnet manager and staff
- A forum for interactions with energy research programs that use or would like to use ESnet facilities and resources
