Environmental Protection Committee

Charter:

The primary responsibility of the Environmental Protection (EP) Committee is to oversee and provide guidance regarding the coordination, development, implementation, and advancement of the Lab's Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with Department of Energy (DOE) and consensus standard guidance, using a graded approach. In this role, the Committee performs multiple functions which include: identifying and evaluating the Lab's environmental aspects; recommending lab-wide program objectives and other initiatives; reviewing progress on identified EMS objectives and targets; and serving as a conduit to communicate the performance of environmental protection programs to the Lab community.
