As the Laboratory Director's Chief of Staff, Sally Fisk assists the Director in addressing Lab priorities. She and her staff provide planning and support to develop Jefferson Lab's long range strategic plan, manage stakeholder relations and prepare for major institutional reviews of the Laboratory. Staff support is also provided to the COO and the Leadership Council in promoting initiatives and addressing issues of importance to Jefferson Lab. Sally's responsibilities include oversight of Public Affairs which encompasses internal and external communications, media relations, community partnerships and Jefferson Lab's website. She also oversees the Science Education programs for students and teachers, and the Staff Services Office which is responsible for planning and supporting scientific conferences and workshops.

During her time at JLab, Sally has worked in support of the national fusion program and she has facilitated strategic planning workshops for the three-lab heavy ion fusion team of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Lawrence Livermore National Lab and Princeton Plasma Physics Lab.

Prior to joining Jefferson Lab, Sally held several management positions with the Department of Energy at the Chicago and San Francisco Operations Offices. Her responsibilities included management and assessment of institutional programs, projects and strategic plans at several national laboratories. She also served as DOE's project manager for the design and construction of solar cogeneration facilities.

Sally holds a Master's Degree in Education from Indiana University.
