PacerLink Icons (for Mac users) and Softerm Session Phonebook files
(for PC users) are now available for the new systems on the site:
DB1 - New HP D260 for INGRES applications (REQS, TS(ETR), etc)
beginning 9/30/96.
JLABS1/2 - Sun 170s
JLABA1/2 - IBM RS6000s
Instructions below assume that you already have PacerLink or Softerm:
PC Users: New Softerm Session Phonebook files are on the NT Server CCNT1
in the "PCDist" volume under the "Softerm\Custom" directory. Copy the
two files found in the Custom directory into the Softerm directory on
your PC and answer "Yes" to replace your current files. Complete Softerm
installation instructions are in the "Softerm.doc" handout in the top
level of the Softerm directory or in hardcopy in the Computer Center.
Macintosh Users: PacerLink are in the AppleShare volume "MACDIST" on the
NT Server CCNT1 in the Pacer 5.4 folder. Copy the icons for the systems
you wish to reach to anywhere on your hard drive and double click on them
to start a session. Complete Pacer installation instructions are in the
"Installing and Using PacerLink" handout also found in that folder or in
hardcopy in the Computer Center.
