The Computer Center is recommending a two-phased shutdown of site
systems and networks to prepare for possible severe weather conditions,
with non-critical systems and network segments shut down and secured by
5:00 PM today (8/30). A decision regarding the details for specific
systems and network segments will be announced by approx. 1:00 pm today.
Staff members should definitely make plans to shut down, power off, and
disconnect power and data cables (where physically possible) on personal
computer systems by 5:00 PM (or as they leave the site).
