There will be a Software Sharing Workshop in Villigen, Switzerland.
This workshop is part of a series of workshops aimed at fostering
the reuse of software within the accelerator and detector controls
communities.
Date: May 11-13, 1998
Location: Paul Scherrer Institute, Villigen, Switzerland
This particular workshop will focus on the software interface
to control systems and on the application of new software
technologies in this domain (e.g. Java and CORBA).
The topics to be addressed:
- Presentations and discussions of some initiatives in the domain
of shared APIs for accelerator controls (Java APIs, CORBA
interfaces...).
- Experience with the technologies related to these initiatives
(Java, CORBA, CDEV, EPICS).
