Not sure why I posted to this group - probably cuz of the WinCenter
link :-) Thinking about it I probably shouldn't have posted to this
group - however the solution seems to be that I need to use another
product - probably Adaptec Easy CD Creator (which I am now testing).

Many thanks to the people that replied. Next time I will make sure
that the product I purchase will run on NT3.51/WinCenter first....

Interesting thing I came across the other day. We have a HP 7100E
CD-RW burner which we purchased recently. It uses the Adaptec DirectCD
wizard and the HP software.

If you burn an ISO 9660 CD-R on your NT4.0 work station, it can be
read on any NT4.0 or Win95 device (no special drivers installed). But
when you try to read the CD on a WinCenter server it fails with a CRC
error and refuses to mount the drive.

Has anyone else come across a similar problem and found a fix for it?
