You probably wrote out the CD with extended character support (Romeo or
Juliet extensions? I forget what the names are). Make sure you write a
pure ISO 9660 CD and you should be able to read it under NT 3.51. With
NT 4.0 and Windows 95, you can have CD's with extra (i.e. > 8.3)
filenames, but NT 3.51 only supports standard ISO 9660. I don't recall
if the CD's I've written are Mode 1 or 2, either, but that may make a
difference as well...

Interesting thing I came across the other day. We have a HP 7100E
CD-RW burner which we purchased recently. It uses the Adaptec
DirectCD
wizard and the HP software.

If you burn an ISO 9660 CD-R on your NT4.0 work station, it can be
read on any NT4.0 or Win95 device (no special drivers installed).
But
when you try to read the CD on a WinCenter server it fails with a
CRC
error and refuses to mount the drive.

Has anyone else come across a similar problem and found a fix for
it?
