use the xmodmap command
xmodmap xmodmaprc

in the xmodmaprc file:
keysym F1 = KP_F1
keysym F2 = KP_F2
keysym F3 = KP_F3
keysym F4 = KP_F4

This will map F1-F4 as right keys.
