It is scheduled for June 4-6 at the lab. We will be running at the time.
Though the official schedule shows facility development, that is usually
physics running. I am thinking of a 2 day meeting. I will schedule discussion
of results and running procedures from the e1 and g1 experiments. We will
have a few new members to vote on and there will probably be a proposal for
requirements of user service work. This is the result of the discussion we
had last collab meeting.
The main issue right now is the review of new proposals. We haven't reviewed
new proposals for a year or so because of the pressure to do the first
experiments, so I feel a strong compunction to give these people a forum.
However, the PAC mtg will be in July and the deadline for proposals will be
during the collab mtg (June 4). Since we can't use the normal review
procedure, I propose that we use an email version of the review. Anyone who
wants a proposal to be considered for CLAS approval should send to me by April
22 a summary of the proposal and the work that has been accomplished.
They should also supply reasons why they need approval this meeting rather
than at the next collab mtg which should be in the fall. The Coordinating
committee will review each case. If we decide to review the proposal, the
proposers should send the prototype proposal to the appropriate Coordinator
(Larry Dennis, Barry Ritchie, or Larry Weinstein) by May 6. He will set up a
small commitee to review each proposal and the list of proposals under review
will be sent to each member. The prototype proposals will be reviewed by the
small committee and made available to anyone in the collaboration. The
Coordinating Committee will make the final decision for CLAS approval; any
written opinion (email or paper) of any reader will be considered in that
decision.
This is a less than ideal solution, but I feel it would be a big mistake to
completely shut out new proposals again.

Steve
