In an attempt to further strengthen communication within the
collaboratation, I have decided to add another step to the CLAS note
distribution process, namely distribution.
Linda Ceraul will be coordinating the effort. Her people will be
contacting each of the collaborating institutions to get the name of a
secretary whom you would like to receive a copy every new CLAS note, via
U. S. Mail. That way you will be guaranteed to have a hard copy at your
institution. I would prefer to deal with the secretarial staff since they
are less likely to bury mail under piles of unopened envelopes.
The decision on how to distribute the notes or not at your institution is,
of course, yours to make. My suggestion would be to make copies and give
them to all interested in the CLAS, and to maintain a binder or file in a
public place. You also will probably know people not on any collaboration
mailing list who should get a copy of the notes as well.
Further, I would encourage you to write up your results as a CLAS note!
Even small results are useful, and the act of writing things down can be
illuminating for the author as well. For the rest of us, we can get the
information in a digestible, efficient, on-the-plane-readable form.
