Folks,
I am planning a significant update of the TOF calibration map on Wednesday
unless there are objections. In particular, values for veff for all
scintillators for which I have data and new time-walk parameters for the
north-clamshell will be placed in the map. Also, the results of a recent
TDC calibration run with a more correct time interval between pulses will
be put into the map. Some modificatons of the SC code are needed because
of a slight change in the time-walk formula. Because I do not have the
data for the TDC calibration run taken before the December run, the times
will be scaled using Latifa's factor of 1.077. This is a map entry in
anticipation of calibration of the pulser using RF data. The new TDC
calibration results are based on a 2.139 ns interval (instead of a 2 ns
interval) between pulses. The map entry mentioned above allows for this
number to be tuned. Hopefully this
will not invalidate Latifa's/Volker's/et al. time constants, which were
based on the old incorrect TDC calibration and scaled appropriately.
