I'm not sure what I wrote was completely clear: I believe GEANT tracksa given
particle until its energy is below the cut. After that it ignores the
particle.
David's idea was to take the particle's energy at that point (e.g. 10 MeV) and

do something intelligent with it, like add some part of it to the closest
available
volume.

That will be very interesting. I think Etienne just looked at what happened if

all the cuts are at the same value. There are more details which could be
considered.
