DC meeting minutes, agenda for next time

Brief minutes for the Aug 18 DC meeting:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Richard introduced PDU, a Pathology Diagnostics Utility for the DCs. It
will find and catalog drift chamber problems like cable disconnects,
electronics failures, etc. He is currently writing code and is getting it
working on pulser data.

Franz gave an update on the state of the master map. He presented the
structures that describe all the "functional units" that a given channel
depends on. The only unsettled issue is one of databasing and Joe agreed
to work with Franz to settle it. Franz has also been working to
understand the difference in TBT between SDA and Recsis.

Reinhard (presenting work done with Rob Feuerbach) drew our attention to
errors in the wire positions of the upstream part of Region 1. There was
up to a 1.5cm difference in the wire locations in GSim and Recsis. Since
Reinhard has reason to believe that the SDA wire positions are the most
likely to be correct, they will look into that next.

Mac led us in a discussion of priorities and directions. The emphasis is
on TBT and preparation for the upcoming test run.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The agenda for the Aug 25 meeting is:

Junho : delivery of run history monitoring system 20 min
Gerry : update on TBT 20 min
Vartan : delivery of HV control & monitoring system 20 min
Franz : update on time calibrations 20 min

As you can see, we're having no problems filling our 1.5 hours, so if you
can foresee having something to present (results, or just an update on
progress) at the Sept 1 meeting, please let me know now.

Henceforth, our meetings will be in L207, still at 13:30.
