This past week at CMU we have done two things related to data
analysis. First, Rob Feuerbach exported CED from Jefferson Lab to our
Suns at CMU and got it running. Finally we are able to zip through
events like we were at JLab. Second, we have been using Dave Tedeschi's
Ntuple generator to look at correlations of various sorts in the data.
I think we rediscovered a number of problems noted by others. I put
together some PAW and Fortran code to make what I think is a nice
graphical display of the wire maps for the chambers which at a glance
shows which wires are hot, where we have missing HV busses, and where we
have signal cables pulled out. The program generates output (sample
below) which summarizes the results. The appended list shows where the
problems are for Region One by wire number. I can generate the
analagous plots and Ascii output for Regions 2 and 3 as well.
I want to have a list I can take into the hall and know where to
look for problems. I want to expand the listing to include TDC slot and
channel numbers for the affected wires. To this end, I want to find or
write a subroutine that does the neccesary mapping. I'm told this
doesn't quite exist yet, but that the pieces are lying around. That's
tomorrow's project...
Regards, Reinhard.
PS Dan - Does this listing resemble what you found during or after the
recent run?
