during the last days I've updated the channel map that contains
all electronics and HV map info for all drift chamber channels (cells).
Now there are map entries for 2 "run numbers":
run# 1: previous map values
run# 2: updated map values (changes: Region 1 backward channels,
Superlayer 4 backward channels)
The map arrays (bitpatterns) are a bit larger than for the previous
version. Unfortunately the mapmanager is not so flexible to allow
different array lengths for specified items. Therefore I've converted
the old map (i.e. put a lot of zeros for channels that were not used).
If you want to use the channel map, you have to check out the
modified version (old executables will not work).
> cvs checkout utilities/dc_channel_map
There is an executables on the clons:
clon: ~clasrun/dc/raw/dc_chan_map
(or ~fklein/dc/map (on clons and cue).
I copied the modified channel map into the parms/Maps directories:
$CLAS_PARMS/Maps/DC_CHANNEL.map (jlab cluster)
and
/usr/local/clas/clas_parms/Maps/DC_CHANNEL.map (clon cluster);
For some weeks I will keep the old channel map
(in: $CLAS_PARMS/Maps/DC_CHANNEL.map.old ).
I've checked the output of some hundred channels interactively
( > dc_chan_map -I ),
compared the 'DCnn.map' files (wire maps with electronics channel info)
( > dc_chan_map -Lnn )
and the ROC translation tables 'ROCnn.tab'
( > dc_chan_map -Tnn ).
There are some descrepancies in the translation tables for ROC09 and
ROC10, probably due to errors in the ROC tables on the clons
(Burin should check it - I sent him a file with the differences).
I don't know whether the HV channels are correct for backward Region 1
channels because I don't have all info here in Osaka.
For questions/suggestions please send me a mail.
Have a nice day
Franz
