What are the steps to get Radiation Worker I training at Jefferson Lab?
- On line Classroom Training
(SAF 801C) - normally done online by
reviewing a Flash presentation. Be sure to register your name
through the link at the end, to get credit for the course. The
link to get to this training can be found at: http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/train/webbasedtraining.html.
- We also
have a paper version, if
you prefer. That link can be found
here: here. If you choose this option, please let
Maya Keller (mkeller@jlab.org)
know, so that she can give you credit for reviewing it.
- In person Classroom training is offered once per quarter. To register for this training, click here: http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/train/index.html
- RWI Test (SAF 801T) should be taken next. You can take the test at one of three places: Support Service Center (bldg. 28), the RadCon trailer (Trl 52B), or the User Liaison Office in Cebaf Center (L111).
- Sign the General Access Radiological Work Permit (GARWP 2011) located at http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/train/webbasedtraining.html
- Practical Factors Exercise (SAF 801P) normally occurs after the RWI test and MUST be SCHEDULED. No walk-ins allowed. Contact Maya Keller, ext. 6021 or mkeller@jlab.org, to schedule your appointment!
- Fill out a dosimetry
request form (if needed) located at: https://www1.jlab.org/mis/ehs/tlds/openNewDosimeterform.cfm
