Description
Dr. Tina Bunai (also known previously as Tina Gatlin) is an Associate Research Professor at the College of William and Mary, in the Applied Science Department. Her area of expertise is in biological mass-spectrometry, with a focus on proteomics applications. Her work at the Applied Research Center focuses on developing the TOF-SIMS for analysis of biological tissues and cells. Previous to her arrival in January 2006, Dr. Bunai held Director-level positions in the biotech and non-profit industry, including TIGR and Large Scale Biology Corporation. She received her Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry from the University of Washington (UW) under the guidance of Frank Turecek and was a post-doc in the lab of John Yates in UW's Department of Molecular Biotechnology.
